A Picture of Norfolk Limited

A Picture of Norfolk is a local fine art publisher working with local artists to make a wider range of limited edition prints of Norfolk landmarks and landscapes available.

The founders have many years experience in printing and publishing businesses and a passion for Norfolk and for the pictures of local artists.

It was during a visit to an artists 'open studio' that the idea of publishing a wider variety of local art on-line using 'on-demand' digital print technology was born.

This together with the increased willingness of consumers to buy on-line, has led to apictureofnorfolk.com.

Jonathan Ayres is a qualified accountant with three years experience in the book publishing business. Prior to this he worked in the banking and finance industry for sixteen years.

As Finance and Operations Director his key reponsibilities include ensuring the customers get a high quality product that exceeds expectations and paying artists royalties when their prints are sold.

"I think this is a really exciting opportunity to give people a lasting image of the beauty of Norfolk. So many people come to Norfolk, especially North Norfolk and have many happy memories of time spent there. We want people to have a real reminder of these memories by having a picture of Norfolk on their walls. At the same time it enables us to promote the work of some of the great artists that live and work in the County and also to show off what Norfolk has to offer."

When not working Jonathan enjoys travel, sport and of course visiting art galleries.

Roger James has spent the last seven years working in the ink and printing industry and has a wide experience of the impact of digital printing on the fine art.

As Sales and Marketing Director Roger is responsible for promoting A Picture of Norfolk and ensuring the public are aware of the the key brand principles, namely quality, choice and service. If you are not happy with your print return it to us for a no quibble refund.

"The advances of digital technology have made a huge difference to the fine art market. It enables small publishers like A Picture of Norfolk to promote and sell prints from artists who would otherwise not be published. The giclée process means that we don't have to print hundreds of prints to make it economically viable, we can print one at a time. Tis is great for both the artists and the customers. For the artists it means that we can offer more of their prints rather than just a few popular ones. For the customer it means that you get more choice but also, as each print is created especially for you, you can choose the material and size that best fits the wallspace available.

When not working Roger enjoys painting - although none of his work is currently on the site - walking and gardening
