Alison Dunhill

Alison was born and brought up in North London. She was serious about painting from an early age and sold her first painting to her teacher at the age of sixteen. She went on to attend Reading University, studying for a BA in Fine Art and receiving the Kingsgate Bursary.

She works mainly in oil and watercolour and her art is characterised by intensified colours. She paints both on site and in her studio, an old hay loft near her house. Alison recently exhibited at Norfolk Open Studios, the West Norfolk Summer Exhibition and held a solo exhibition at the Neptune Gallery in Old Hunstanton.
