Lionel Wilde

Lionel was born in London and has always painted. He trained and practiced as an architect before coming to painting full time. He and his wife Brenda, who is also an artist, paint on most days from a studio in a recently built barn conversion next to their home.

Lionel’s inspiration is the light, openness and peace of the landscapes, seascapes, woods and beaches of North Norfolk. He paints using Acrylics but also uses pen and wash to paint boats and buildings, betraying his architectural background. His work has been shown at a number of local exhibitions with more planned at Holkham and Walsingham in the near future and can also be found in local galleries.
