Press release 3Local landscape print exhibition at the Forum in Norwich |
|
Fine art limited edition prints of Norfolk’s landmarks and landscapes by local Artists will be on display at an exhibition at the Forum in Norwich between 9th and 11th November. The exhibition, which is presented by on-line print retailer apictureofnorfolk.com will include examples of the work of 10 local artists including Bob Brandt’s North Norfolk rural scenes, Gill Baguely’s lively coastal and seascapes, Gena Ivanov’s vibrant acrylics of Norwich and the coast and Jean Hawke’s fine landscapes and architectural watercolours. As well as seeing a unique collection of local artworks, visitors to the Forum will be able to talk to some of the artists, who will be attending the exhibition and can enter a competition to win their favourite Picture of Norfolk. A Picture of Norfolk’s prints are produced to Fine Art Trade Guild standards using the digital or ‘giclée’ printing process that produces prints that are almost indistinguishable from the original paintings. To demonstrate this quality, some of the prints will be shown alongside the originals, so visitors can also make a comparison for themselves. Prints are available to buy in 3 different sizes, on either heavyweight watercolour paper with an acid-free mount or as stretched canvases which do not need to be framed. So customers can select the style and size of print they want, to suit their individual taste and the wall space available. Also for sale on the day will be promotional miniature ‘thumbnail’ prints from all the artists featured to show the print quality and materials used. apictureofnorfolk.com is currently running a ‘picture amnesty’ alongside the Norwich Framing Centre and visitors to the Forum can bring along any old and unwanted pictures and frames and receive a 20% cash-back voucher off new ones. The exhibition is open from 10 am to 6 pm on Thursday 9th November, Friday 10th November and Saturday 11th November.
